Lisbon

I only had one full day in Lisbon as my flight to London was changed to 7am so I can’t really say too much however Lisbon seems like a beautiful place with a lot of culture surrounding the city. I would like to come back to explore more of what it has to offer someday.

Accommodation: Yes! Lisbon
One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in for a multitude of reasons. The atmosphere is great and they get everyone up and about for the pub crawl etc. The staff are absolutely lovely and happy to help with anything you might need. Breakfast is free and dinner is only €10 for a 3 course meal and is delicious. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and have after being at the rising cocky in Lagos, I was in love with the amazing aircon haha. The bathrooms are all really clean and the shower was heaven. The hostel is in the perfect location and an easy walk to see the main sights of the city. I would 100% recommend Yes! Lisbon.

Things to do:
Walk around: as I said I really didn’t do much because I just wanted to relax in Lisbon but when you walk around you can see a few cool sights along the way. The hills in Lisbon are a joke so good luck walking up them if you are in terrible shape like I am haha
Portuguese Tarts: good god please find these and eat all of the. I’ve been recommended before but they are so simple and so delicious. They have them at most of the cafe’s around but apparently in Belem they are world famous and the best… Unfortunately I didn’t get there but the ones I ate were still so good.
Sneak into a hotel: my friend from Lagos said he snuck into a hotel with a pool and a rooftop view of Lisbon and it was awesome so I thought I’d give it a crack. I didn’t go to the one he went to but I went to Mamino Alfama and it’s legit like $300 a night to stay there. We walked in like we owned the shit, somehow found the pool area and stayed there tanning for about 4 hours! Others from our hostel tried but they came as a group of 5 and asked reception where to go…rookies haha if you do it make sure it looks like you know what you’re doing and just wing it. The thing I liked about this hotel is it overlooked the ocean and part of the city… Also the pool was red which was so weird but also really cool! The thrill of being somewhere you aren’t supposed to be was apart of the experience as well haha.
