LA was a place that I honestly hated… lol. The city was dirty and boring and the only good thing in Downtown LA was seeing the Lakers play! Santa Monica and Venice Beach are both the nicest parts of LA but If its beach you are after… go to Mexico 😉
Accommodation: USA hostels Hollywood
We met some really cool people here but Hollywood is an absolute hole and it smells. I loved the hostel but I wouldn’t stay anywhere near Hollywood ever again.
Things to do:
Santa Monica/Venice Beach: The nicest part of LA. Its nice to relax in the beautiful southern Californian weather and its cool to see all the places you see on TV. Going on the Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier was cool because you could see all over!
Staples: watching the Lakers was so much fun. The fans love it and the games are pretty much always sold out. You will also see a few celebrities (Iggy).
Hollywood: It is good to see Hollywood and the walk of fame but it is so gross there. We were at the end of our trip so we just wanted to relax but I wish I went and saw Rodeo drive etc instead of just shopping in Hollywood.
Downtown LA: LA sucks. Downtown LA is a shithole and the fashion district is nothing but a bunch of Mexicans selling fabric. Avoid downtown unless you are going to STAPLES.
